Every diamond has its own visual signature. It's like a fingerprint - no two are alike
GemprintTM uses a non-invasive, low-powered laser to capture the unique sparkle pattern of each diamond and registers this image in its database.
The diamond is first Gemprinted and the sparkle pattern is reproduced on the certificate of registration. GemprintTM gives customers peace of mind and confidence because they know their stone is registered and protected from swapping. And, because ownership information is stored in Gemprint's international database, the recovery of lost or stolen gems is made possible. It's really that simple.
This simple flow diagram visually explains the Gemprinting process.
